Ever wanted to know what bargain beauty items women in the spotlight use? Wonder no more. We reveal the wallet-friendly beauty picks of three prominent women in our $100 Priceline challenge.

Stephanie Darling, madison beauty director
The beauty products Darling hasn’t tried and tested in her 10 years as a beauty editor are few and far between. Here are her favourite bargains of the moment.
1. Soft Kohl Eye Pencil in Jet Black, $19.95, by Innoxa. Black kohl is one of my desert island must-haves. There is no quicker way to glam up your face than with a swipe of defining black on the inner rim of your eyes.
2. Perfection Brush On Foundation in Nude, $17.95, by Australis. The fact that this foundation has an SPF30+ makes it a winner for me. In Australia, you can never have too much sun protection and what better way to get it than with a two-in-one product that gives you great coverage at the same time.
3. Natural Spring Water, $1, by Work Out. Hydration, hydration, hydration. What more can I say?
4. Full Volume Liquid Lipcolour, $14.95, by Rimmel London. I love a gloss and getting one that looks natural is a must.
5. Thermal Spring Water, $8.79, by Avène. This little gem is an essential beauty reviver, freshening up your make-up and giving you a boost.
6. Anti-Perspirant Pink Deodorant, $3.49, by Dove. This is a fabulous deodorant and the fact that it also contributes to breast cancer research is an added bonus.
7. Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover, $12.35 (125ml), by L’Oréal Paris. This legendary eye make-up remover is an oldie but an absolute goodie and is one of my beauty staples.
8. Visage Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes, $7.49, by Nivea. For a lazy girl’s make-up remover, these wipes are genius. When I am too pooped at night (read: every night) they take off the day in an instant.
9. Gentle Dry Shampoo, $13.99 (150ml), by Klorane. The secret weapon to extending the life of your blow-dry and keeping volume in your hair.
Total: $99.96
