Amanda Reardon has worked with names including Gemma Ward and Jennifer Hawkins, so it's no wonder this renowned make-up artist knows all the best products in the beauty business.

Best Buys:

  • Ideal Balance Cleansing Wipes, $6.89, by L’Oréal Paris. These refreshing, alcohol-free wipes won’t dry out skin and they’re good for removing make-up quickly.
  • Eye Drops, $9.94, by Refresh. I love these because they’re saline based and preservative free – great for sensitive eyes. I often use them on shoots if girls arrive with red or irritated eyes.
  • Lipfinity in Iced, $29.95, by Max Factor. This lip gloss has a moisturising top coat that can last all day.
  • Pure Makeup, $14.95, by Maybelline. A light, oil-free foundation that is also long-lasting – no need for powder.
  • Gentle Make-Up Remover for Eyes and Lips, $9.45, by L’Oréal Paris. A light formula that can be used to remove make-up in sensitive areas such as around the eyes. It’s particularly good at removing water resistant products.
  • Lash Discovery, $16.50, by Maybelline. This is my favourite mascara because it defines lashes without clumping or giving an overstated look. It’s quite oily, which makes it a great individual lash mascara rather than a lengthening or curling product. Perfect for day wear.
  • Shine Seduction Glossy Lipcolor in Apricot Aura, $15.95, by Maybelline. This gloss is long-lasting and contains just a hint of sparkle. I love the contour brush, which makes application very easy.
  • Colorstay Eyeshadow Quad in In The Buff, $17.95, by Revlon. This selection of neutral shades will see you through every day and they also double as eyebrow definers.

Cult Buy:  Papaw Ointment, $3.99, by Lucas’ Pawpaw Remedies. I use it to soften lips before applying lipstick and as an eye gloss when I am doing natural make-up – it gives lids a subtle shine.

Shopping Tips:

- Look after your skin from the inside out – good food, lots of water and sleep are essential.

- Where possible, choose products that are alcohol free, as these won’t dry out your skin.

- Cotton buds make fantastic single-use eye shadow applicators.
