  • Eat a handful of protein three times a day. Aim for 115 to 170 grams (about the size of a fist) of lean protein, like chicken, fish or egg whites for each meal.
  • Drink plenty of water. The rate at which you burn kilojoules drops when you’re dehydrated, so make sure you drink at least two litres of water a day, more if you’re exercising frequently.
