Some marriages last a lifetime. Some marriages last a shorter time, say ... just 72 days. (Ahem, Kim Kardashian.) After Seal and Heidi Klum, one of Hollywood's seemingly most stable couples, recently called it quits, we're feeling a little glum about the state of celeb marriages. We can imagine that it would be hard to maintain a strong Hollywood marriage under the intense spotlight of the, sometimes-unforgiving, media, but surely there are still some A-list couples out there who make their relationships work?

Some people might look to Brad and Ange for inspiration. After all, it can't be easy managing A-list careers while raising six children and still having time to work on the relationship. Or perhaps Victoria and David Beckham, who have been married for 13 years, and in that time had four children, independent and successful careers, and survived numerous scandals, still to make it out of everything alright. 

Personally, I'm on team Jay Z and Beyonce. (Blame the recent birth of their baby, Blue Ivy, for my gushy inclination towards them.) The super-couple always seem to be on the go, whether it be touring, releasing new albums, spruiking their fragrances or taking time out to enjoy being new parents, and I reckon they will make the distance.

Some madison staffers are struggling with the idea that any celebs can make their relationships last. After hearing on the radio that Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are headed for divorce, writer/sub-editor Jessica thinks it's impossible for us to learn valuable lessons on marriage from celebs. Instead, Jess is inspired by her parents, who have been married for 30 years (her dad still brings her mum a cup of tea in bed every morning). Aww! Editorial coordinator Isabel also has no faith in celebrity marriages, especially after hearing about Courteney Cox and David Arquette and Heidi Klum and Seal. Isabel believes the best way for a relationship to survive is to not be a high profile celebrity, or to become the modern day Brady bunch.
