Delta Goodrem and Nick Jonas call it quits
The Australian 'Voice' judge and the Jonas Brothers singer, who began dating last May, have decided to end their relationship. The mutual break was due to both parties wanting to spend time on their respective careers. In a written statement, they said that they will “remain friends”. 

The statement, released through 27-year-old Delta's manager, read: "Nick and Delta have decided mutually to end their relationship. At this point in time, they are both focused on their careers as they go on different paths. They remain friends and wish each other the best for the future. There will be no further comments regarding this matter”.

Delta has recently started filming the Australian version of reality show 'The Voice' alongside Seal, Joel Madden and Keith Urban. 19-year-old Nick has taken over from Daniel Radcliffe in the Broadway production of 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying'.

Rihanna's birthday was "carnage"
The 'You Da One' singer held a wild party to celebrate her 24th birthday at a penthouse suite in London's Corinthia Hotel on Sunday night. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Rihanna's birthday was carnage. She and her posse of female pals stripped down to their bikinis and ended up dancing around in a full bath of water. They were downing shots and went through four bottles of tequila”.

All the partying left the popstar in a poor state for her BRIT awards rehearsal, which took place at London's The 02 arena. It seemed Rihanna was feeling the after-effects during rehearsals. A source told the MailOnline: "Rihanna turned up to rehearsals really, really late. She didn't do any singing or dancing whatsoever. She literally stood on the stage like a zombie”.

It seems that Chris Brown, the controversial R&B star who was convicted of assaulting Rihanna when they were together, was a part of the birthday celebrations. In a remix of Rihanna’s track ‘Birthday Cake’, released on her birthday, Chris Brown says he wants to sleep with her, (in a very explicit way). Chris was also among the guests at a birthday party for Rihanna at her Beverly Hills home last week which has fuelled rumours that they have rekindled their romance.

Adele scoop ups two prizes at the BRIT Awards
The 23-year-old singer, who took home six prizes at the Grammy awards last weekend, took home the first and last awards of the evening, Best Female Solo Artist and the coveted Mastercard British Album of the Year for '21'.

The London-born singer said: “Nothing makes me more happy than winning six Grammys and then coming home and winning two BRITs.” Speaking afterwards, she told BANG Showbiz: "It's phenomenal; the success of this album, where it’s gone and where it’s taken me has just been amazing”.

Despite her happiness, Adele made an obscene gesture after her acceptance speech for her second award, as it was cut short due to time constraints. She insisted she did not want to offend her fans: "I’d like to say, I got cut off during my speech for Best Album and I flung the middle finger. But that finger was to the suits at the BRIT Awards, not to my fans”.

In other Adele news, the award-winning singer has also just applied for her helicopter license, in order to reduce travel time in her busy schedule. A source told The Sun newspaper: "Adele's property has so much land she thought, 'Why not?'

"It will cut down her journey time by some distance and it also means she won't have to rely so heavily on cars. She is a busy woman and needs to get places with minimal disruption." The star has recently moved back in with her mother in Sussex, South East England.
