It's no secret we adore Blake Lively. The madison cover girl (and recent newly-wed, if you've been hiding under a rock) is one super-talented actress, whose new role in the gritty drama Savages has generated some serious buzz. 1. She... loves her food
And we love a woman who isn’t afraid to eat! Our cover girl likes nothing more than to cook up a storm, and has publically denounced dieting. In an interview with Allure magazine last month, the self-confessed foodie said: "I obviously have plenty of imperfections on my body, but I'd rather have a little bit of cellulite and go do a food trip and try every ice cream place in the South."
2. She... says no to nude scenes
While the Savages star is known for revealing a whole lot of skin on the red carpet (and why wouldn’t you be with that enviable physique), Blake has made it very clear she won’t be seen stripping off for the camera anytime soon: "When I see nudity in movies, I am always distracted by it. I know that if I am watching a scene and someone has their boobs out, then that's all I'm looking at - I can't help it. I just don't think that will ever be right for me."
3. She... doesn't give in to Hollywood hype
As the star of a mega-hit TV show, face of Gucci Premiere fragrance and wife to A-list hunk Ryan Reynolds, you could excuse Blake for being a little full of herself. However, the actress is surprisingly grounded: "You have to surround yourself with people who are honest with you. I need honesty," Blake recently told Style magazine. "I need good friends who can say, "I love you to death, but you look terrible in that and you need to change right now."
4. She... will never slag an ex
When it comes to relationships, the 25-year-old beauty likes to keep all the drama on-screen. In an interview with Glamour magazine, following her split from boyfriend and co-star Penn Badgley early last year, the actress only had nice things to say about her past love: “Every relationship you have, you’re learning and growing and taking something from that."
5. She... doesn’t use a stylist
Blake rarely puts a foot wrong on the red carpet, and she can take full credit for her flawless old-Hollywood-style glamour. Yep, the young fashion icon picks out all her own dresses, jewels and shoes for major events. "I don't work with a stylist," she told US Weekly last year. "I just like whatever I'm feeling. Sometimes things are really beautiful, but they just don't photograph well, and that's that."

It’s hard to imagine anyone turning Blake Lively down for a role, but the actress previously told US Weekly she had to fight for her part in Ben Affleck's drama The Town: "My part was supposed to be a 37 year old. I was like, ‘I have to play this.’ And they're like, 'No, you're not 37." "I took a train to Boston and auditioned for Ben and fought for the role, and he gave me the job on the spot. They rewrote it so I'm 29."
8. She... doesn't drink but doesn't preach
The actress is a teetotaller - and even stuck to ginger ale at her wedding – but don’t expect Blake to start preaching about it on a soapbox: "I don't drink. I've never tried a drug. It's not like I decided on these strict lifestyle choices and I'm enforcing them. It's just something that I genuinely don't have a desire for."
9. She... kept her wedding private
Instead of selling her intimate wedding pictures to the highest bidder, Blake and her new husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, decided to keep their nuptials hush-hush; really hush-hush. Not only was the wedding a complete surprise, but Blake’s brother, Jason Lively, told New York Daily News he even sourced covert transportation for the guests: "I travelled all around the country and rented cars from out of state to keep it under wraps.
