With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we thought now would be the perfect time to workshop our favourite colour combo: red and pink.
Warm shades, such as pink and red are said to work wonders at boosting energy levels which makes them perfect for incorporating into social areas, such as the living room, kitchen or entrance of your home. If you’re new to bold shades you can take baby steps by adding a few accent pieces, such as a print or stack of books before working your way up to a hero item, such as a chair or coloured wall. Although there are no rules when it comes to decorating, you can opt for a traditional vibe by pairing red and pink accents with all-white basics, but it also happens to work a treat with dark navy and gold for added drama.
Hot tip: give your existing dining chairs or an old sitting chair an instant and inexpensive makeover with a new seat cover. We opted for a hard-wearing calico-style fabric in a classic red and white pinstripe for contrast.
