Tell us a little about yourself and what you do...I work as a freelance hair and make-up artist. I love my work it gives me so much joy making people look and feel their best. It's very rewarding! I am very blessed to work for some of Australia's top magazines, working on fashion editorials, which is both creative and fun. Working as part of a team with some of the most talented and creative artists, creating beautiful images for people to be inspired by.
I have been very blessed to travel to some of the most beautiful destinations both in Australia and overseas. I also work with advertising clients, actors, presenters, models and politicians. I'm Sarah Murdoch's make-up artist. I really have the best job I have met and worked with some very interesting, amazing and inspiring people and look forward to what the future has in store for me.
How did you start in the beauty industry?
I was born into a family of hairdressers. After working as a hairdresser both here and overseas for over 10 years, I did a make-up course, assisted some very talented make-up artists and started getting my own portfolio together.17 years later here I am!
What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
Have a cup of warm water and lemon and then inhale a hot cuppa of Clarity Breath Easy from the Zen Facial. A little gratitude meditation followed by yoga, a walk or swim depending on my schedule. I also love a sauna or swim at Icebergs (in Bondi, Sydney) if time permits.

Daily beauty regime?
Dry body brush, salt baths with Sleeping Beauty from the
Zen Facial range. A little
Do In (Japanese self massage), cleanse/tone/moisturise, eye cream and finally lip balm. I'm a big fan of Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel and Daily Microfoliant.
I'm currentlyalternating between Chantecaille Just Skin and Dr Hauschka Toned Day daycream.
Giorgio Armani Skin Retouch concealer for concealing spots, By Terry Ultra-Radiance concealer under the eyes.
Nars Laguna bronzer, Stilla Convertibles in rose on the cheeks and MAC Plum Perfect tinted lip conditioner.
At night, I use Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and Fluid Sheer. Loving a smokey eye with the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Ebloui. I wear
St. Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan daily – especially in winter to give me a nice healthy glow.
For my hair, I use all
Kevin Murphy hair products - Angel Wash and Rinse once a week. I use Born Again treatment everyday and I spray my hair with Staying Alive. I see Claudia at
Joh Bailey for my nails, I have the bio sculpt gel nails.
Tell us about your fitness/exercise routine.
I am currently obsessed with The Future Sound of Yoga (yoga DJ dancing) love it!!! I also enjoy yoga at
Elixr Bondi Junction, Susanna is of my favourite teachers there. Walking with my girlfriends and I also love dancing.
Do you take any vitamins/supplements or health remedies?
I am currently taking a raw multi vitamin, Japanese probiotic, liquid vitamin B and Magnesium body spray. I use a few macrobiotic remedies such as kuzu for digestion, salt compress for aches and pains. I have regular Shiatsu treatments with my wonderful practioner Caroline Farah in Coogee.
Do you have any beauty secrets ?
Zen Facial is my secret weapon - I send lots of my clients to see Fumi for her amazing treatments, such as the blissful natural face lift. You come out looking and feeling 10 years younger.
How do you take care of your skin?
Zen Facial exercise, healthy food and lots of greens! Drink lots of water! Oh and all the lovely beauty products.
What do you eat on a typical day?
All organic where possible. Vegetable juice, kale and eggs for breakfast or quinoa and amaranth porridge with lsachia seeds, walnuts, prunes, stewed apples, berries and sheeps milk yoghurt. Chicken or fish salad for lunch. Soup or fish and vegetables for dinner, this is my ideal day.
When travelling it's not always possible I have fun and enjoy lots of different and yummy food, I love quality produce! Love Italian, Japanese, Lebanese, Vietnamese, Jamaican and especially chicken rice and peas: my husband's specialty. Two of my dearest friends are amazing cooks and they spoil me.
