Lazy beauty tips

lazy beauty tips

Here are our top four beauty tips for lazy girls...

1. Sleep more
No amount of make-up can fake a refreshed glow, and recent research has backed up the importance of beauty sleep. Beauty brand Helena Rubinstein (not available in Australia) and the International Longevity Center studied the effects of sleep on the skin. The findings: sleep deprivation causes stress, which decreases the skin’s protective barrier.

2. Treat yourself
What could be lazier than lying on your back while a team of beauty therapists works their magic. So try the new express multi-treatments that make the most of your time. At Sydney’s Venustus, you can get a mani, pedi and facial all in an hour, while at Aurora Spa in The Prince in St Kilda, the Kitya Karnu Signature Treatment is a one-hour package that includes a body exfoliation, massage, facial and hair treatment.

3. Eat well
When you’re next lounging in front of the TV, swap your usual snacks for nuts and seeds, crudités and hommus, or a little dark chocolate, and drink up on white tea, water or a glass of red wine. All have skin-loving benefits.

4. Go shopping
Next time you can be bothered hitting the stores, splurge on an Hermès (or Hermès-esque) silk scarf. There’s nothing like it for chicly hiding all sorts of hair crimes.
