get a great beach body
Love yourself in a bikini with these beach body tips...
Tone up wobbly bits It goes without saying that you feel more confident in your body if you’re fit, so it’s important to exercise regularly. “Just walking for half an hour on your way to work can make a difference,” says personal trainer Scott Cameron. “But you do have to walk at an out-of-breath pace and work up a sweat,” he adds.
Beat the bloat The ideal anti-bloat diet includes two litres of water and five servings of fruit and vegies daily. “These foods are best at preventing fluid retention,” says Sydney nutritionist Zoe Bingley-Pullin. Limit salt intake, carbonated drinks, refined starch and fat. “Overloading on carbohydrates can cause you to retain water too, and excessive fat takes a long time to be digested by your system, so try to moderate both,” she adds.
Fake it flawlessly We all know the only safe tan is one in a can. Salon spray tans have come a long way and, with a little crafty shading, body painting beauticians can seemingly increase your cup size, trim your thighs and tone your abs in an instant. At-home sprays are just as effective, just remember to always read the instructions for a foolproof tan. We love: Airbrush Sun Spray-on, $25.95, by Sally Hansen, 1800 251 010.
