The ladylike structured skirts of the '50s are back with a vengeance, dominating runways and red carpets worldwide. Think flare, exaggerated waists and architectural hems. This style is being dubbed the ‘Cristobal Method’ after its champion Cristobal Balenciaga. The shape is made to sit away from the body with gathering, solid piping and hoops, creating voluminous silhouettes that add shape, femininity and sophistication to any outfit.
