One of our favourite shows of the week, Ellery’s spring/summer 2012/2013 collection offered beautifully crafted designs. The garments were elegantly structured from the exaggerated shoulders, frilled shorts and oversized shift dresses. The hues were strong and the pairings interesting (forest green, blood ox red, black and crisp white) but fit together perfectly. The use of varying fabrics such as the baroque-printed hemp, silk, brushed suede and tulle made for an extremely textual collection. Some lust-worthy pieces included the structured green and black peplum jacket and very feminine red and gold tulle dress. We’re betting that everyone will want a bit of Ellery this season.
