RAFW 2009 Day 4: Wow

So we knew we were in for a treat when we arrived at the Sydney Theatre Company for the Romance Was Born show and saw these cute little jam jars on our seats and...

This fabulous garden party arrangement in the centre of the room

Amongst which I spotted these cupcakes (YUM!)

And a mermaid playing a harp

But we had no idea we would get this wild garden-party-goes-under-the-sea collection. (Side note: doesn't everyone own a blanket or shawl that looks kinda like that crochet dress on the right?)

There were tulle/pearl fans above each model's eyebrows, and the shoes looked like they made it to RAFW via a kids arts and crafts class (glitter, garters, pearls....)

Or the local florist

The headgear was appropriately over-the-top (octopus, feathers, flowers), and the make-up was a kaleidoscope of colour

Wearable? Perhaps not, unless you fancy yourself as a little mermaid.

Theatrical value? Out of this world.
