A lazy Sunday morning

Bleary-eyed (the World Cup is responsible for more than just introducing Australians to vuvuzelas), we head over the Brisbane River to Southbank  for breakfast at Piaf.

After indulging in hearty breakfasts (smoked salmon, mushrooms, asparagus, poached eggs and spinach were all on the menu), coffees and the Sunday papers, we head outside to the Southbank Market. Open every Friday evening, plus Saturday and Sunday, these cute white stalls stock a range of homewares, clothing, jewellery and trinkets, plus there are organic produce stands and you can easily while away the morning browsing for that perfect gift.
