new cosmetic surgery procedures: restylane vital
WHAT IS IT? Restylane Vital. This skin rejuvenation product is the latest in the great hyaluronic acid (HA) race to create bigger and better fillers. HA is well known as a dermal filler that plumps the skin and fills wrinkles but, as a bonus, Restylane Vital also helps to regenerate collagen.
PAIN FACTOR: One treatment involves 30 injections over the entire face. Three of these treatments are recommended, roughly two to four weeks apart.
WHY HAVE IT? According to Sydney cosmetic surgeon Dr Anoop Rastogi, “As skin ages, the dermis thins and the epidermis gets thicker and crust-like. As a result, creases and wrinkles in the skin start to develop.” The complexion, in effect, shrinks. Injecting HA into the skin allows for an increase in elasticity, meaning lines soften and skin is more translucent. This is also great for revitalising the neck and décolletage (good for treating that tell-tale Aussie V on the chest) and the backs of the hands. Results can last up to two years.
HOW MUCH IS IT? $1500 for a course of three treatments.
WHERE TO GET IT: Dr Anoop Rastogi, 02 9362 1426, rastogi.com.au.
