Plantscription Anti-Aging Eye Treatment, $75, by Origins, click to buy
What is it? Anogeissus Tree Bark and fermented Black Tea work to repair lines and wrinkles, crinkled lids and saggy skin.
Our tester says: “I really enjoyed using this. I applied it morning and night and found it to be both cooling and hydrating. However, unlike my other Origins eye cream, Night-A-Mins (which I’m obsessed with), I found this didn’t provide a smooth base for my concealer.”

Anti Ageing Eye Cream, $49.95, by Elucent, click to buy
What is it? A combination of 4% AHAs and vitamins B3, C and E helps smooth fine lines and reduce the appearance of dark circles.
Our tester says: “I used this lightweight cream every night after my cleansing routine. I’m prone to dryness and tightness around the eyes but this was really moisturising and soothing. It did slightly smooth the skin around my eyes, and while it did tingle slightly (as stated on the packaging), it wasn’t irritating at all.”

Eye Lift, $110, by Eve Lom, click to buy
What is it? This offers a three-pronged approach: vitamin C brightens and evens out skin tone, sodium hyaluronate retains moisture, while retinol microspheres and oat kernel extract retexturise wrinkly skin.
Our tester says: “I used this morning and night after cleansing and, after just a few days, I swear I noticed a softening at the corners of my eyes. Overall, the skin felt more hydrated and though I have sensitive skin, this was really gentle.”

Skin Signature Eye Cream, $145, by SKII, click to buy
What is it? The formula delivers an intense dose of hydration and acts like an invisibly mask to shield delicate skin throughout the day.
Our tester says: “I applied this nightly after cleansing. I found the cream extremely hydrating and could almost feel it soaking into my skin as soon as I dabbed it on, especially around the outside corner where I have some dryness. My lines are still there, but they don’t look dry.”

Anti Ageing Eye Roller, $49.99, by Olay, click to buy
What is it? A cocktail of concentrated ingredients, including caffeine and amino-peptides, fights fine lines and wrinkles, while providing antioxidant and moisturizing benefits.
Our tester says: “I used this every morning under my makeup and again at night. The pen-shaped applicator and micro-rollers was refreshing but not too heavy (important for my sensitive, acne-prone skin). With the added moisture, my skin is plumper and the fines lines are slightly less noticeable. Great value for money.”

Benefiance Pure Retinol Instant Treatment Eye Mask, $97 for a pack of 12, by Shiseidoclick to buy
What is it? These contoured, concentrated under-eye sheets contain Hydroxproline, an amino acid that helps natural collagen production, plus Ginseng extract and vitamin C to target dark circles and dullness.
Our tester says: “I left the mask on for 15 minutes at night, 2-3 times per week. The silky serum left my eye area feeling velvety smooth and there was a definite improvement in the overall radiance. Alas, my crow’s feet remain unchanged.”

Dermatologist Solutions Ultimate White Darkness Diminishing Activated Eye Treatment, $62, by Kiehl’sclick to buy
What is it? Vitamin C and plum fruit extracts help reduce the overproduction of melanin and appearance of sun spots, while light-reflecting mica and titanium immediately brightens under-eye skin.
Our tester says: “This is to be used every morning as a quick fix, surface eye brightener, and I found that the reflective component of the product meant light bounced off the dark circles and made them appear less noticeable, so there was an instant, visible result. However, I’m not sure there was a huge difference to the extent of the circles over time.”

Dark Circles Relief and De-Puffing Serum, $88, by Darphinclick to buy
What is it? A potent mix of peptides, passionflower, sodium hyaluronate and rose and liquorice extract helps soothe fatigued eyes.
Our tester says: “I applied this every evening, and while the texture of the serum was fresh and lightweight, I didn’t notice any difference in my dark circles.”
