The average woman will chop and change her hairstyle 104 times in her lifetime, a new survey commissioned by UK hairdresser Andrew Collinge has revealed. Between the ages of 13 and 65, one woman will layer, shorten or colour her hair at least twice a year. Most women will try out at least three shades over the years - dark brown being the most popular - and at some stage in their life will opt for a long style with a fringe. Celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss, who tend to unveil a new image every few months, can also take some of the credit for inspiring women to change it up. However, the main reason a lady lets loose on her locks is boredom, the neXt most common reason is the end of a relationship and the third is to boost confidence.
